Originally from Killbrew, Ireland, Martha Beresford was an artist, sculptor, printmaker and photographer based in London. She studied at Chelsea College of Art under Ruskin Spear, Gus Cummings & Eric Shanes among many others, eventually gaining a diploma in Art and Design.
Passing in 2024, Beresford left behind an prolific and eclectic portfolio, reflecting a lifetime of experimentation in various mediums. During her lifetime, Beresford exhibited with galleries in and around London, including the Whitechapel Gallery, The Landmark Arts Centre, Orleans House Gallery and The Watermans Arts Centre, and was even accepted by the Royal Academy.
